There can be no doubt that the results of high school students have mostly disappointed the hopes and aspirations of both students and parents. They have created a terrible psychological barrier with severe negative effects on everyone, casting a shadow over students’ futures and their career orientations.
In light of what happened during the exam period, leading to completely unsatisfactory overall results, we find that roughly 25% of students have to take second-round exams (الدور الثاني) starting September 1st. This raises strong questions:
- Is this the methodology and education development plan that His Excellency the Minister of Education intended?
- Does this align with the goals and ambitions of the strategic plan for educational development under Egypt’s Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development?
I believe, without hesitation, that the entire system must be re-evaluated and restructured so that our children’s futures are not exposed to breakdowns, which directly impact social and family stability.
As an Egyptian citizen, I am deeply invested in the success of Egypt’s educational development system, and I reiterate that education is a matter of national security for Egypt.
